Lead Carpenter

JOB DESCRIPTION: LEAD CARPENTER

Remodel Cincinnati is engaged in residential remodeling. Therefore, the duties of a Lead Carpenter employed by the company are mainly physical and related to the construction trade. In addition, because we work in client’s homes, we have specific appearance and conduct requirements as well as physical and general requirements. (Please note that the following lists are meant to give an outline of the company’s expectations and may not be all-inclusive.) This position is not gender specific.

DRESS AND CONDUCT REQUIREMENTS

  • Uniforms and/or T-shirts may be provided and, therefore, required.
  • If the employee wears his own shirts, it should be noted that obscenities, profanity, nudity, morbidity, suggestive language or cartoons will not be permitted.
  • Smoking is not permitted in the client’s home. You may smoke outside on a job site unless you have been asked not to by the client. You are responsible for leaving the site clean of all butts.
  • We promote an alcohol and drug free workplace. Being under the influence of either drugs or alcohol, or the use of drugs or alcohol, in the workplace are cause for immediate dismissal.
  • Beards, mustaches and hair length are personal choices, but must be neat and clean.
  • Please consider the safety aspects of wearing certain jewelry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders several times/day
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, dig, load and unload materials from trucks, carry lumber, tools or other materials onto and off of a work site.

REQUIREMENTS CONCERNING COMPANY VEHICLE USE

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good driving record. Please Note: Applicant will be asked to sign a Disclosure and Release Form provided by our insurance company authorizing the release of your Motor Vehicle Report and other driving record information.
  • Be insurable
  • Capable of driving a full size pick-up truck or van
Operation of a company vehicle must always be done in a safe and courteous manner as your actions reflect directly on the company.
